In 2017 GRG was approached by Woodlands School, owned and operated by the Potawatomi tribe in Milwaukee, WI. The school play yard had an existing large play structure but lacked any integration into the landscape. GRG designed and built a total environment to include a green roof play house, a hillside deck and slide, climbing walls, climbing trees and a tree cookie patio collaboration area.

 

The space was designed and built to serve K-4 through middle school aged children. The year following construction the school’s report card showcased a notable improvement from the previous year.
