In 2019, GRG was approached by Chicago Waldorf School to design and build a natural playscape in memory of a student. The school desired play experiences for all students - including their high schoolers. GRG partnered with Site Design to work closely with the school community to determine what features most appealed to them, including with a Parkour teacher to discuss the elements his students wanted to see in a natural Parkour course. The result of this collaboration was a natural play area which included a boulder fortress, a fallen tree log climber, a parkour course, seating and gathering areas and a sand play area.
